Palm trees, grass skirts, floral prints and leis were strewn beautifully about the Main Dining Room on Thursday, June 6th. All, including service staff donned their tropical attire and leis. The City Club hosted a Luau – the ultimate summer kick-off party!
Members and guests enjoyed a delicious traditional Hawaiian feast that only Chef Naiwi can do complete with a whole roasted pig. What’s a luau without colorful drinks with tiny umbrellas? The bartenders served up two signature cocktails— Mai Tais and Coco Mojitos— in addition to the full premium bar.
A treat for the ears as Chef Naiwi strummed on his ukulele and Member, Rebecca Pla sang alongside him. Sweet Hawaiian melodies and contemporary tunes filled the room, and few guests were compelled to do a little hula.
Plan on Luaus for years to come as the inaugural event was a success. Aloha and Mahalo to those who attended and made it all happen!
