The City Club of San Francisco is such a treasure trove of Art Deco inspired art and architecture and for those of us that live and breathe the art day and day out, we love it when we have visitors who have ‘ties’ to the original artists that stop in to enlighten us!
This week, Sandra Meyer, granddaughter of George Meyer who worked with Ralph Stackpole on the ‘Man’ and ‘Woman’ statutes outside the Pacific Stock Exchange, and her guests traveled from England and Australia to visit the sculptures. George was the model for the ‘man’ statue, as seen in the photo above.
Sandra Meyer is pictured above, with her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle Meyer and Conor Masterson.
Thank you, Sandra, Michelle, and Conor, for sharing a visit with us!
